  • Sales Position

  • ​Skyline Furniture is a family-owned and operated wholesale furniture company, based just outside of Chicago. Skyline is known throughout the furniture industry for fashion-forward design and handcrafted quality. Skyline’s affordable, custom-made pieces can be found at top retailers online and across the country.

    Skyline is looking to add a highly-motivated member to our sales team. Reporting to and partnering with the Skyline executive team, this sales role focuses on executing Skyline’s go-to-market strategy and driving revenue growth across key accounts.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Partner with the Skyline executive team to establish plans and strategies for developing and growing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
    • Manage key account relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities with existing and new/growing accounts
    • Mine for growth opportunities across existing and new accounts
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of internal and client-based systems and how to work with them to manage and maintain product assortments with the goal of revenue growth
    • Work with design team and clients to select assortments and facilitate the setup of new items, including item photography, related content and system upload
    • Conduct site audits to check for product placements, adjustments, removals, and work with internal and client team to update as needed and measure success
    • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and to develop key relationships
    • Travel to quarterly furniture trade shows and other industry related events


    • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience
    • Comprehensive knowledge of current online and offline retail environment; ideally with a focus on furniture/home decor/interior design
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including experience with MS Excel
    • Strong communication skills and experience in a client-facing role
    • Strong project management and problem-solving skills; ability to understand critical issues/work streams and prioritize appropriately with minimal oversight or direction
    • Possesses and exceptional level of initiative, drive, attention to detail and follow-through
    • A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality; team player who invests in continuous improvement and the success of the company
    • Demonstrated commitment to the company’s culture with a passion for the organization’s mission is essential
