These investments include the development of custom software as well as the expansion of Skyline's machinery and equipment, and this month, the expansion of its existing factory and opening of a new woodshop facility, developments that support Skyline's business model as well as the current economic environment.

She is the president and chief creative officer of Skyline Furniture Manufacturing, which is a brand founded by her grandfather.

A growing number of e-commerce companies are offering personal choices at affordable prices. It’s a similar story at Skyline Furniture, a manufacturing company outside Chicago that was founded in 1946 and offers quick, custom-made furniture produced through recently acquired equipment.

Armed with hard-earned lessons passed down from previous generations and learned firsthand during the e-commerce boom, Meganne Wecker, the 3G president and chief creative officer of Chicago-based Skyline Furniture and founder of its sister brand Cloth & Company, aims to balance innovation with sustainable growth. 

While Skyline Furniture may not be a household name among consumers, the company is making its mark among designers and retailers for its cutting-edge technology and quick turn-around times for custom orders. The driving force behind Skyline's technology and innovation is Meganne Wecker, the third-generation president of the family-owned company that was founded by her grandfather in 1946. 

"We have obtained a number of eco-certifications and are working towards several more that we expect to have before the end of the year, including FSC, Greenguard, the Better Cotton Initiative, and OKEO-TEX," said Meganne Wecker, president and chief creative officer. "While our commitment to eco-friendly manufacturing has been long-standing, we are thrilled to now have these formal accreditations."
